Our blog was set up, primarily, for children in school to see what others were up to when off-site. However, after only a few weeks of actually getting pictures on the site the possibilities for inspiring learning are becoming apparent.
We'd already established links with two schools in France but we are now exploring the potential of mutual blogs so that our children can comment and interact with international partners. We're receiving pictures from the arctic from one of our parents and the level of interest in geography is rising withouteven trying. The potential is immense.
It might sound like it but we're not anoraks!
BLOGGING'S GREAT FUN
and, at the same time, a fantastic educational opportunity.

Sporting Champion

(viewed 163 times)
Sarah McGreavy, 1st in the 2007 AAA Indoor Championships: 60m Hurdles, visited our school today. She spoke to and inspired the school with her medals, achievements and personality; giving us all a positive and exciting day to remember. It's not every day that you get to chat to a world class athlete. More pictures will follow and you'll get a chance to see her hurdling with some of our youngsters.

Thanks, Sarah.

Whole class violin tuition

(viewed 414 times)
Pizzicato practise. The whole class is learning how to play the violin. They sound really good after just a few lessons. Definitely NOT alien music!

See the spacecraft

(viewed 531 times)
We're all trying to see what's going on. The craft landed on the playground before skidding across onto the field and crashing into the wall. We can all see it; but what's really going on here? Roswell here on Cannock Chase? It wouldn't be the first sighting of alien craft in the area.

Alien invasion

My goodness! What's just crash landed at school? What's inside? What's it doing here?
