MORNING WALK

(viewed 68 times)
This was the Sunday after Christmas - our house was full to bursting with the sis-in-law, her very tall fellow and his shorter-but-noisier sons, so I suggested a walk. Only small people volunteered!

LEAFCLEARING

(viewed 79 times)
Jasmine and Dylan chose to come and help me clear up some leaves in the churchyard today instead of going shopping, and a fine pair of helpers they made! They filled the bag behind them, but when Oliver and Mavis turned up to "help", things all went slightly awry...

HALELIWIA

(viewed 164 times)
CDs! One evening a while back on Radio 2 or Radio 6, I heard a really nice Welsh Language version of the Leonard Cohen song Halleluja. After a bit of searching I found the people responsible on myspace; a duo called Brigyn from somewhere in Snowdonia. After I'd found them, those detestable people who run some kind of TV talent competition every year announced that the winner would be singing the very same song, only in English. This caused a few kneejerk reactions; people on Bookface were imploring me to download a Rick Astley MP3! Other people began to suggest that we all buy the Jeff Buckley version of Halleluja, but I would rather buy either the original Leonard Cohen version (which we already have) or this stunning welsh version. Mrs H also bought us their 3rd CD album while she was there.
