Moblog Says: Find Me

A casual puzzle game for Londoners
We invite you to come and explore with us. This game will take you on an adventure through London, on a hunt to find 43 objects that will give you the elements necessary to ask the question.

You will need a digital camera or a cameraphone to take part, and access to google maps or any other online/mobile mapping application. The objects you have to find are a little bigger than postcard size, and 2cm thick. They are within 10 metres of the hidden locations.

A GPS device of some sort is recommended for gameplay, but not absolutely required. Find out where the locations are by solving the clues on the clues tab. Once you've figured out the clues, you will find the locations of the objects.

The race has started, find the objects, find out what the question is...

Great prizes are up for grabs including top end Nokia handsets, care packages from Moo, and two tickets to the opening of James Nachtwey's London exhibition

Important: Site Downtime

As some of you may have noticed, we have had some problems with uptime on the site, with Moblog occasionally displaying error pages. We have been working hard on site optimisation to stop this happening, and will be making some changes on Sunday 12th October that will hopefully correct some of the issues the site has been experiencing. Scheduled downtime for the site will be between 6pm and midnight on Sunday the 12th October. Messages received by the site during this time should be queued and then posted when we go live, but ideally try not to post during this time. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Post your BCG Scar

In support of http://xdrtb.org
Most of us have visible BCG scars, help raise awareness for Extreme Drug Resistant Tuberculosis by adding yours to the BCG blog. XDR-TB is a form of TB caused by bacteria that is resistant to the most effective anti-TB drugs. It has emerged from the mismanagement of multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) and once created, can spread from one person to another. Find out more about this disease and how you can help at XDRTB.org

Moblog, version 2

Welcome to Moblog, version 2. We have dropped the UK from our name and are now simply Moblog. You may have noticed we're on a new url - moblog.net. The moblog.co.uk domain will continue to work, but you might want to update your bookmarks anyway. Migration to the new platform went smoothly, but if you experience any teething troubles in the first few days, or if anything seems to be wrong, or has got lost, please drop us a line via the contact page.

New in version 2:

There are a great many new features and things that have changed on Moblog in version 2, so do poke around the site to see what's there. You can find a full list of changes on this page. Here are a few highlights:

  • Maps: Every Moblog user now has their own map which they can add their posts to either manually, or if you use a geotagging handset, automatically.
  • Audio Blogging: We have partnered with voice to text company Spinvox, you can now just call a number, dictate your post, and it will be posted straight to your moblog.
  • Posting: Post by SMS, MMS, Email, mobile or web browser, or even just by calling a number
  • Groups: Shared moblogs have now become group moblogs. All your old favourite shared moblogs are there. You may need to join some groups to be able to post, and you can easily create your own. Subscribers are able to create Groups which have subscriber level features such as custom CSS, and higher upload limits
  • Domains: Moblog subscribers are able to run their moblogs from their own URL's, including their mobile versions.
