I am currently living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, USA.

I will perform molecular biology for cash, food or shiny things.

Interesting things I read recently:

The number of cameraphones will soon exceed the total number of conventional cameras ever sold.

The death rate amongst black American men is currently greater than that of the US infantry in the second world war.

Haven't had much time to play it, but so far it's pretty good. Controls feel
a bit woolly, but it is charming and compulsive.

What do people think?

I must admit, I want to like LBP a lot more than I do. The level editing tools drive me nuts - especially when I change one small thing and then everything falls to the floor for no reason. Also, I can't get any of the DLC costumes to appear in my popit menu. Does anyone else have that problem?

Rich says:

Don't forget with the editor you can wind back time when you go back to edit mode. Plus, dark matter is your friend. In terms of the DLC, works fine - But I've heard that DLC is region-locked, so if you're playing the american version of the game but've downloaded from the british store it won't work - redownload on whichever store is local to you. If it's not that then I don't know, sorry.

Yeah.... It's a fun game, but making levels takes forever and is pretty damn complex, slightly too much like hard work for me though I'm messing around with bits and bobs. Mat's been building up a fine collection of monowheels and other crazy vehicles.

It's interesting seeing what other people come up with, though at the moment the dross quotient is rather high.

Still playing Fallout 3 mainly, plus a little of the Resistance 2 multiplayer Thatss good shootins!

Why on Earth would they region-lock the DLC!? Gits. I'm still using the UK store from here because I wanted the stuff I paid for on my UK ps3. Damnit.

3rd Dec 2008, 23:41

Rich says:

Yeah, it's a tad bastardly. At least for the free stuff you could set up an account for the UK shop (or the US shop) and you can grab that again without having to add bank details...

3rd Dec 2008, 23:55

crickson says:

Sod it. I'll just get my games sent from Amazon.co.uk from now on. They're cheaper from home now.
